Pas à Pas
Village for War-Children
The project aims to address the reconstruction of both physical infrastructure and the well-being of Syrians as a divided society. It focuses on creating an inclusive village for orphaned children with war trauma, located in Jisr Al-Shughur, northern Syria. The village offers comprehensive care and support, encompassing psychological, physical, spiritual, and economic aspects. It includes educational, recreational, and entertainment spaces, as well as accommodations for foster families and orphans. The design integrates with nature and traditional Syrian architecture while providing a sustainable and barrier-free environment. The use of compressed stabilised earth blocks (CSEB) as building materials enhances sustainability and allows for adaptable construction. The village promotes a democratic atmosphere, fostering inclusion, individualization, and mutual support. The goal is to provide a loving and secure environment where children can heal, grow, and shape the future of Syria.
